Antagonist: Cabot Searcy

Oh, Cabot Searcy. We don't know if you could call him a bad guy exactly, but his increasing insanity and loosening grip on reality make him a dangerous and delusional man. He is the entire reason for Gabriel's disappearance; he kidnaps Gabriel by accident (thinking that he's picked up Cullen in order to school him for dating Alma Ember), and decides to keep him around because it's a sign from God or something. Like we said… he's not exactly the most reliably sane character. So though he's not a bad guy per say, he's still at the root of all the trouble in this book.
