Occupational therapy is on fire. The world being what it is, there will always be injuries and disease, and folks are going to need help getting over them. Medical advancements are extending the life spans of fragile groups like the elderly and disabled, and the aging Baby Boomer generation will require help living with conditions such as arthritis, diabetes, and strokes. Also, as more states require insurance companies to cover occupational therapy for conditions like autism, OTs will be introduced to patients who previously could not afford treatment.
