Character Analysis
Since Bella moved to Forks, Renée is not actively partaking in Bella's life anymore. Yet, when Bella and Edward visit her in Florida in Eclipse, she quickly realizes how much Bella and Edward love each other. She therefore gives her blessing to Bella's marriage and soothes Bella's worries that her mother might accuse her of getting married too early. Renée even flies to Forks to help Esme with wedding preparations. When Bella changes into a vampire, however, both she and Charlie decide to not involve her mother with the reality of Bella's new life.
