- Josef has finished his story. It's dinner time. The trio heads to the dining room.
- Magda accuses Josef of having been in love with Avenger. He neither confirms nor denies. (And would it really matter whether he was or not? Gemma's the one that Avenger loved back.)
- Before Becca and Magda leave, Becca tells Josef that she thinks Gemma forgot her life in Europe. She only had the fairy tale.
- Maybe. Or maybe it was too painful to remember the real details, and that's why Briar Rose came along.
- Josef tells Becca to write. Whatever the fairy tale and the real story mean, it's a good way to work through it.
- Becca offers to give him back his ring, but he declines.
- Becca and Magda drive back to Warsaw, the city where Magda lives. They talk with Magda's aunt.
- At night, before they go to sleep, Becca asks Magda if she should share Josef's story with her family. Magda votes yes.
- Becca flies back to the states. Guess who's waiting for her at the airport?
- Did you guess Stan? Ding ding ding!
- Becca and Stan flirt a bit, then finally, finally he kisses her.
- They leave the airport together, Becca promising to tell the full story.
