Character Analysis
June is the first Boatwright sister we meet. Lily and June get off to a shaky start, as June is pretty resistant to Lily's presence in the house, but it's pretty clear June has a heart of gold. In addition to her day job teaching high school (history and English), she plays music for the dying to comfort them, going to their homes (or, if necessary, the hospital) with her cello.
June has a boyfriend, Neil, whom she refuses to marry (repeatedly). However, she eventually relents.
