Courage Quotes in The Walking Dead

How we cite our quotes: (Panel)

Quote #7

"I just don't understand why [Glenn] can't go alone! Why do you have to go with him?" (417)

Lori doesn't want Rick to be brave; she wants him to safe and stay behind. That's the definition of bravery, though. It requires an element of danger.

Quote #8

"Here, rub this on your clothes, and then stick it in your pocket. I think a few pieces for each of us ought to do it." (436)

This is a pretty daring suggestion. Rick and Glenn rub zombie guts on themselves and walk straight into a crowd of the undead. We wouldn't have the guts (haha) to do that. There's so much the group doesn't know about zombies that just about any attempt to confront them is really dangerous.

Quote #9

BLAM! (615)

Lori's seven-year-old son, Carl, steps in and saves his mom by shooting a zombie right in the head. He's a lot braver than people of any age might be in a similar situation. He must have inherited that from his father.
