Character Analysis
Dale's older brother Lavender may have a pretty weird name, but he's known as a total stud in Tupelo Landing. A lot of ladies are in love with him, including Mo, who is obviously too young for him. Lavender loves working on cars and eventually sells his beloved race car to get money for his mother after she divorces his abusive dad—he wants her to be able to provide for herself and to start up her own small business. What a good dude, right? No wonder Mo's hopelessly smitten.
