When it comes to physical danger, corporate lawyering isn’t what one might call a hard-hat area. The occupational hazards that accompany a corporate lawyer into the field would follow anyone pursuing a demanding career in Internet searching, text messaging, backslapping, and firm handshaking. As one ascends the corporate lawyer ladder, though, you’ve got to watch out for certain aristocratic risks, such as choking on a lobster roll or being struck in the eye with a popped champagne cork. Talk about telling those war stories to your grandchildren!
