Odds of Hanging On

The ability to remember your role and value to your community should help a lot, but you need to stay strong and balanced in order to hang in there. Balance is everything, so if you have a horrible day, don’t forget to be good to yourself and take some time to make sure you’re okay. There is a burn out rate higher in this industry than in others, and that is why this career is not for everyone. It is full of people who felt a calling or knew they were always meant to be there for the bereaved and the deceased, and because of that they are a naturally strong breed.
