Those guys who have gardening shows on television are not gardeners. They are actors, or at best, other types of horticulturists. Except for reputation, or maybe even stigma, gardeners have no fame. They are meant to stay behind the scenes. Or behind the scenery. No one knows who maintained the Garden of Eden or the Hanging Gardens of Babylon, and Edward Scissorhands, the Lawnmower Man, Groundskeeper Willie and Mr. Boothby, the gardener at Starfleet Academy, are all fictional characters. You don’t want to have to compete with a cartoon or film character for your fame. Those guys will win out every time.
