About Common Core Math Standards

Students should know that it doesn't take much to put the "fun" in "function." Really, all it takes is writing "ction" afterwards.

The Functions standards introduce students to the idea of an input-output function, different examples of functions (from linear to trigonometric), and various ways of expressing functions (verbally, algebraically, and graphically).
