Whispering
- The window leads them straight back to Mab and Esmé's living room, which they left behind not so long ago. Mihai shuts the window on all those slavering wolves and yanks down the red braids from the chandelier.
- He turns to Esmé and asks if she knows who he is. She lies and says no, even though she distinctly remembers kissing him for some reason.
- Mab demands to know what is going on, but Mihai just says that it will all be explained eventually. Then he tells her to go to someone named Yazad while he takes Esmé with him.
- Before Mab can stop him from taking her daughter, Mihai opens another magical window and drops inside with Esmé and her shorn braid.
