- Nefret steps out of the shadows and heals Erik (who was bleeding from where he'd been trying to protect Heath from the ghosts), and then heals Heath, causing him to also fall asleep; he won't remember anything that happened that night, except for getting drunk.
- Then Nefret tells releases Aphrodite from her leadership role, stripping her of the garnet necklace she wears for her rank. Nefret gives the necklace to Zoey, saying she is now a High Priestess in training, and leader of the Dark Daughters and Sons.
- Nefret sends the kids back to the school while she cleans up the remnants of the ritual.
- On the walk, Zoey tells Stevie Rae how brave it was for her to volunteer to be refrigerator, even though it's a terrifying thing for her. Stevie Rae did it so she could text the location of the ritual to Damien, Shaunee, and Erin.
- They all share a group hug. Erik appears and gets in on the group hug, and then he kisses Zoey. Nala appears, too, and Zoey scoops her up to carry back home.
- Then Aphrodite confronts Zoey, telling her that she may have won tonight, but it's not over. Further, Aphrodite says they're all being used, they're all just puppets, and this is only the beginning. She refuses to say any more, though, and walks away.
- Zoey gets to walk home with her new friends, feeling like whatever happens, it'll be okay because they're all in it together.
