The Reformed Vampire Support Group Chapter 6 Summary

  • Nina and the rest of the vampires black out at sunrise, and come to life again at sunset. Not much happened during the day, according to Nina's mom.
  • Father Ramon reports that the police were called to check out Casimir's apartment because the neighbors noticed the broken lock. The cops concluded that he was mentally ill based on the coffin, though, and they're not going to report him missing for another day.
  • Dave reports that there was no message from Fangseeker, so they'll need to look for other leads.
  • Should they drive to Cobar? Or write a letter? Nina realizes that she is afraid to leave, and this is one way she's become more like a vampire over the years—she's less involved with the outside world, less caring, more lethargic.
  • While feeding, Nina makes a decision: She'll accompany Father Ramon and Dave to Cobar. It's better than doing nothing and continuing to slide into uncaring vampirism, right?
  • Nina's mom think it's too risky, but Nina defends her decision, saying she wants to contribute something. The alternative is just sitting around, anyway.
  • The group decides to rent a van and line the interior with plastic, so that Nina and Dave can crash in the back during the day and not risk sunlight. Sounds fun.
