Miss Malizy, Sister Sarah, and Uncle Pompey are the only people working on Tom Lea's farm when Kizzy is first sold there. Although the group comes together to form a makeshift family, they become separated after Matilda and the kids are sold away.
They all end up dying at separate times over the years and, if you haven't noticed yet, it's kind of a massive bummer.
