Case File: Flood (Negligent Rain)

Police Reports

Case description: After a Nile flood that killed thousands, Ramses II sued Tefnut for negligence concerning where she dropped her rain right before the flood occurred.

Case status: Dismissed. Because the court (and Ramses) recognize Tefnut as a god, her rain powers are divine. Thus, a flood that occurred from her rain is an act of God and is immune from lawsuits. The court also cautioned Ramses against trying to bring a case against Shu for the winter or spring sandstorm seasons, as wind is another act of God.
