The Death Cure Theme of Hate

There's bound to be some hatred going on in the world of the Gladers. Come on, people are dying left and right from a virus let out by the government, and WICKED is doing ridiculous, fatal experiments with kids. For the most part, the hatred that boils up in The Death Cure is geared toward WICKED, and it comes from the kids themselves. In the first two books, there was always a question of why the kids were being put through the Trials. Now? Now it doesn't matter to them. They just want out.

Hatred fuels the actions of many of the characters, especially Thomas. Despite knowing that he once worked for WICKED, he still hates them—and himself—for creating the Trials.
