The Kor Memorial Scholarship

Who's Eligible: College students majoring in language-related field

Award Amount: $500

Due Date: This scholarship may not exist anymore, but keep checking back for updates.

Yes, Virginia, there is an award designed for those who speak Klingon. While being fluent in the Star Trek language is not a formal requirement, majoring in a foreign language or language-related field is. Students can only apply if nominated by their academic department chair, head, or dean. According to the Kor web site, "familiarity with Klingon or other constructed languages is not required, however creative and innovative applicants are preferred." Good luck.
