Compare and contrast two or more versions of the same story (e.g., Cinderella stories) by different authors or from different cultures.

Many different versions of myths or fairy tales are out there, and this standard asks students to start dipping their toes into that form of "analysis." The purpose of the standard is to further improve students' abilities to compare and contrast as they work their way up through elementary school, while also introducing them to myths and legends.
