ERA of 5.00 or higher, sixty-yard dash in 7.0 seconds or higher

High school was grand, but the dream is gone and it's time to find a new one. You try out every season, but you know you're on the lower end of the pecking order every time. Keep those grades up, and find something else you want to do after college.

ERA of 3.50–4.00, sixty-yard dash in 6.8–6.9 seconds

You go out every season, and you feel like you're contributing. But you're probably spending a lot of time on the practice squad, or at best, as a reserve. It hurts, but it may be enough to keep your scholarship going.

ERA of 2.50–3.50, sixty-yard dash in 6.7 seconds

"Put me in coach, I'm ready to play!" You get out on the field semi-regularly, usually as a back-up or reservist. Make the most of those chances. You won't see many moments to shine and when they do, you need to wrangle them.

ERA of 2.00–2.5, sixty-yard dash in 6.6 seconds

"Utility! Utility! Rah! Rah! Rah!" Coach is impressed, and he's seen enough good things from you to make you a part of the starting nine. You rarely stand out, but you don't screw up a lot either, and that's why you're taking the field every inning. Keep it up—there's plenty of guys behind you who want that job.

ERA below 2.00, sixty-yard dash in 6.5 seconds or lower

Your stats shine, your bat/arm is mighty, and other coaches curse a little bit when they see your name on the starting line-up. You can carry the team when you need to and there may even be a few trophies out there with your name on it.
