Character Analysis
He's a priest at the miners' chapel at the San Tomé mine. He's hanging around when Don Pepe gets the message from Pedrito Montero asking for he terms under which he would surrender the mine. It's implied that he looks after the mine when Don Pepe leads the miners in an uprising against the Monterists.
