Schindler's List Scene 11 Summary

  • The Jewish laborers walk to the factory through the snow. They're stopped by the SS who demand that they stop to shovel snow.
  • The SS confront the one-armed man, yank him out of the crowd, call him useless, and shoot him in the head.
  • Schindler goes to the SS to demand compensation for his loss.
  • The Nazi makes a thinly veiled accusation concerning the questionable "essential" nature of a one-armed worker, but Oskar defends the importance of the man's skills. Too late, though.
