- The Dude and Walter meet for coffee to discuss the situation.
- Even though The Dude is sure that all of these new developments mean curtains for Bunny (and himself), Walter is unimpressed with the toe stunt.
- "You want a toe?" Walter asks. "I can get you a toe. Believe me, there are ways, Dude. Hell—I can get you a toe by 3 o'clock this afternoon. With nail polish."
- A waitress comes over and tells them that they're being too loud.
- Walter has another outburst, claiming that he didn't watch his buddies die face-down in the muck in 'Nam in order to have his basic freedoms challenged by a family restaurant.
- The Dude can't deal and leaves the restaurant.
- Walter stays to assert his First Amendment rights and finish his coffee.
