- They sit across from each other in old, stiff looking armchairs while Morpheus begins to explain to Neo what the Matrix is.
- However, he eventually admits that explaining the Matrix is actually impossible and that "You have to see it for yourself." He offers Neo the choice between learning about the Matrix (taking the red pill) and going back to his normal life (taking the blue pill).
