It's voyeurism if there is any glory. You're serving a basic function that companies only kinda sorta need. Could they find the right exec themselves? Definitely. You are a "nice to have," not a "must have"…unless the market is crazy for executive weaponry and that doesn't happen all that often—certainly not in most industries. But to the people for whom you find jobs, you are glorious. They will feel that they "owe you." We see a free rib dinner in your future.
