Border Patrol Agent

Odds of Hanging On

Enforce the laws carefully and don't willfully break any of them—regardless of the reasons—and your career can be as long as our borders (but hopefully not as empty). The ambitious agent will want to consider options for promotions. The best way to do that is to follow protocol, stay safe, and keep America's best interests at heart.

At the opposite end, going rogue may seem awesome in the movies, but that's the best way to find yourself in the unemployment line. No loose cannons need apply.
