The Death Cure Chapter Thirty-One Summary

How It All Goes Down

  • Minho bursts in to help Thomas, but Red Shirt accuses him of being a Munie. Minho bolts, escaping Red Shirt pretty easily.
  • Red Shirt then escorts Thomas outside, where he has a van waiting for him.
  • While moving along, Thomas notices a large hovering machine lurking in the distance. He tries to use this as an excuse to stop, but Red Shirt makes him keep moving.
  • They reach the van, and just as Thomas slides in, Red Shirt is nailed by a bunch of bullets.
  • A machine—yes, the same one that Thomas had pointed out to Red Shirt earlier—approaches, and a voice rings out. It's Janson, and he's telling Thomas to exit the van.
