The Escape
- Miles has a suggestion for the constable leading Edward to jail: let the kid escape.
- Miles drives a hard bargain: he threatens to tell the judge about how the constable threatened the woman into selling her pig. The penalty for that? Death.
- The constable is convinced. He lets Edward escape on the condition that he can claim that Miles attacked him. Miles agrees, and he and Edward run away.
