Glory

You say "orderly"; everyone else hears "Nurse Ratched's henchman." (Source)

Orderlies get a bad rap. A terrible rap, in fact. It's a striking injustice that we hope you help to rectify. The "terrible orderly" thing is so common, it's actually a TV trope. If you watch a movie or show that is based in a psychiatric hospital or nursing home, chances are, the orderly characters are going to be despicable.

The remedy for the terrible-orderly-trope is simple: don't be terrible. It's true that most orderly duties are the things that doctors and nurses can't be bothered to do, but it takes a lot of moving parts to help care for the sick and elderly. So don't go getting down on yourself just because you don't get to wield the scalpel or change the IV bag. Show up, do your job with a smile on your face, and there's plenty of glory to be had for your part in caring for those in need.
