Jellicoe Road Chapter 26 Summary

  • An investigation into the fire proves that it was started by an electrical problem, which is funny given that there are multiple arsonists at the Jellicoe School.
  • Jonah, Santangelo, Raffaela, and Taylor spend Jonah's last day at Hannah's. Hannah isn't ready to forgive Jonah for running away with Taylor to look for her, but then again, Jonah's not ready to forgive her for what she's put Taylor through.
  • Taylor demands that both of them just get over it, or she won't forgive either of them.
  • Later, Taylor tries to talk to Hannah about Jude. She says that their real problem is that they can't forgive each other for surviving the ordeal with Webb and Tate and that they, too, need to just get over it and be together.
  • The Cadets leave town with more friends than they had when they came. Ben wants to keep in touch with Anson about music, and Jonah doesn't want to let go of Taylor when they say goodbye. They promise to call and visit.
  • Jude picks up Tate from the hospice and brings her to the house on the river, just as Webb would have wanted. She and Taylor have an emotional reunion and go into the house, where Tate marvels at how the house is exactly what Webb had planned.
  • Tate tells Taylor a story about how Webb had a dream about Taylor before she was born: They were sitting in a tree and Taylor told him her name.
