- McMurphy is out in the exercise yard setting up a basketball game between the patients and the orderlies.
- The patients quickly get clobbered because McMurphy can't communicate with any of them.
- But the tide of the game changes completely once Chief understands what's happening. He's so tall that none of the orderlies can guard him.
- So McMurphy just keeps passing him the ball and he scores easily. All of the patients cheer wildly.
