Character Analysis
Candy Star is McMurphy's lady friend who, like McMurphy, is a free spirit and not afraid of breaking the rules. She even thinks it's kind of cool when McMurphy introduces her to the patients from the mental ward, asking casually, "So you guys all crazy?" On top of all that, she's totally willing to have sex with a stranger (Billy Bibbit) as a favor to McMurphy. You might even wonder if Candy is a little too free in her ways. The darker possibility is that she doesn't want to have sex with Billy, but does it because of the control McMurphy has over her.
