- We're back in the main ward where Nurse Ratched is chairing another group therapy meeting.
- McMurphy comes wandering up the hallway looking like a ghost. He walks into the middle of the meeting, but makes sure to wink at Chief before he does so.
- After staring blankly around the room for a while, McMurphy smiles and goes straight back to his old personality, whipping the boys into a laughing fit.
- When Ratched asks McMurphy to settle down, he obeys her with a big grin on his face.
