Secrets at Sea Chapter 11 Summary

Sebastian's Secret Sweet Shop

  • After the party, Helena is stuck in the Marquess's pocket. When they're in the elevator, he accidentally pulls her out and she's able to scamper off—she sprints through the boat, trying to escape the oodles of humans all around her.
  • Then the ship cat appears. This cat is a mean one and he chases Helena all over the place.
  • To escape, she hurries under a door, at which point she finds herself in the room of Lord Sandown, the five-year-old future earl.
  • He's nice as can be and invites Helena to play with his toys. He even offers her food—apparently he has sweets galore in his bed.
  • The fun doesn't last long, though. When the maid comes in, the mean cat joins her. Helena hides in a toy coach.
  • Things get even more nuts when the nanny joins the shindig. She's super mad that little Lord Sandown, whose name is Sebastian, has been playing and eating instead of sleeping. She's about to give him a spanking but then his mom, the Countess of Clovelly, walks in.
  • Helena decides to get involved—she hides all of Sebastian's food so it looks like the nanny is lying. The nanny gets the boot, and Helena is able to get away unseen.
  • It's been a wild night, and Helena is happy she has a human of her own to hang out with now.
