- While Mr. C is screaming his head off, Olive shows up with an announcement: she's engaged to, you guessed it, the ship doctor. He's an American chap named Dr. Fanshawe. Turns out Olive has been faking her illness ever since the lifeboat drill incident just so she could hang out with her fiancé.
- Mrs. Cranston is happy as a clam and the whole ship knows it—and Helena is bragging about knowing about Olive's secret lover before either of her sisters.
- A little later, Lamont arrives to invite his sisters to Gala Night for the mouse passengers. He also lets them know that he's made big plans for his future: he's going to stay on the ship as Assistant Cabin Steward. And you just know that this makes Helena super nervous.
