How It All Goes Down

- Puck's oldest brother, Gabe, comes home as Puck and Finn are eating apple cake for dinner. Um, invite us over next time, Puck.
- Gabe has big news, and it isn't good: He's leaving the island… and he's not taking Puck and Finn with him.
- In order to get him to stay, Puck—whose real name is Kate—tells Gabe that she's decided to ride in the races.
- "Sounds like we'll need the money if I win" (3.54) she says.
- Gabe decides to stay until after the races, but that's it.
- Relieved, Puck goes to her room, and cries quietly into her pillow.
