- Sean is dreaming of the sea. He gets up, not because he has to pee, but because some of the other stable boys have woken him.
- Matthew Malvern, known as Mutt, has gotten himself into a horseload of trouble trying to trap a capall uisce on the beach.
- Down on the beach, the horse is going wild and injuring people.
- Sean manages to calm the horse, but not enough to keep him. "Don't you dare let that horse go," (4.44) Mutt sneers.
- That's exactly what Sean does. See ya, horsey.
