Your sense of satisfaction and accomplishment may be even more than for most other doctors - even life-saving surgeons - because you get to know your patients over a number of years and are much more invested in their health, safety and quality of life. It’s almost like one big soap opera, but with fewer love triangles, kidnappings, and (hopefully) fatalities.
