Provided you have some kind of certification or credible work experience to point to, your odds of becoming a wind farm technician are good. Job growth rates are above 20 percent, which basically means they're taking anyone who's interested in the job (source).
Your odds of running a farm with hundreds upon hundreds of turbines is lower at the entry-level, but the more experience you pile up, especially with one particular farm, the greater your chances become of supervising the entire kit and kaboodle. Just keep on climbing and you'll keep on climbing, as it were.
