Muriel

Muriel looks pretty shady when we first meet her, but that's no reason to assume she's gonna be the villain, right? Actually… that would be a safe assumption to make. When Muriel's final knot is untied, she vanishes, only to turn up in the basement of the Forgotten Chapel, trying to free the demon Bahumat. During the showdown, she tells Kendra:

"After biding my time for long years, I feel my hour of triumph is at hand." (16.86)

So clearly, she's been planning this stunt for a while, and since it'll unleash powers of darkness into the world and harm Kendra's family, we feel pretty comfortable calling her the antagonist.
