Character Analysis
Maddox is "taller than Grandpa and much broader, with curly brown hair. The layers of furry skins he wore made him look like a mountain man. He was missing the bottom of one earlobe" (6.96). Maddox is a fairy broker, which isn't a job you hear about too often—he's basically the Steve Irwin of the fairy world, and we bet he's had his fair share of adventures (or at least his earlobe has).
