Feathers is about as clean as an animated Disney flick… and we're talking about the ones with animals as their main characters, not princesses. Since the main character is in the sixth grade, absolutely nothing sexual happens—the most scandalous thing that happens in the whole book is that some teenage girls hit on Frannie's brother… but then they quickly lose interest. In Frannie's personal life, there are no romantic prospects on the horizon—she just wants to get through the sixth grade and enjoy being the baby of her family until her mama pops out her new sibling.
