Oh, the Places You'll Go! Awe and Amazement Quotes

How we cite our quotes: (Stanza)

Quote #1

OH!
THE PLACES YOU'LL GO! (8)

Need we explain the awe and amazement here? If awe and amazement were a sentient being, it would demand to be depicted in exactly this manner. Take a look at the illustration and how wonderful it is with all of those stripey things and archy ceilings. There is awe and amazement written all over the protagonist, and it's pretty much shouted at us through the stanza. Awe and amazement are not to be ignored, ladies and gents.

Quote #2

You'll be on your way up!
You'll be seeing great sights!
You'll join the high fliers
who soar to high heights. (9)

More awe and amazement as your child takes to their striped balloon… and the skies, of course. On the very next page, we're rewarded with a colorful landscape. We can feel the effect on the stanza, which soars up from beginning to end into the highest of highs: an exclamation point!

Quote #3

Oh, the places you'll go! There is fun to be done!
There are points to be scored. There are games to be won.
And the magical things you can do with that ball
will make you the winning-est winner of all. (23)

Is there anything more amazing than a complicated ball game with elephants and a windy course? We think not. Here awe and amazement combine with competence. "There is fun to be done." Your child just has to get around to doing it.
