- The Walls family crapmobile rattles through Oklahoma with the hood roped down and garbage bags over broken windows. Mom thinks it's hilarious.
- After a month of hilarious travels, with a brief detour to the Alamo, the family arrives in Welch, at the home of Erma, Dad's mom.
- Don't call her Grandma. Just Erma.
- Erma lives with her husband, who is fine being called Grandpa, and Dad's brother, Uncle Stanley.
- The kids will live in the basement.
- Erma has basically one rule: no laughing in her house. Home Sweet Home.
