Stan is Becca's bae. Or at least she wants him to be.
Also pertinent: Stan is Becca's boss at The Advocate, the alt weekly newspaper where they both work. (This strikes us as slightly scandalous, particularly given that Stan is 13 years Becca's senior! Though it isn't described as super fuss-worthy in the book. Where's Shonda when you need her?)
We know that Becca likes Stan because he makes her go all fidgety. "Being around Stan always made her do things like…fix her hair, smooth down her skirt, tug the sweater over her jeans." (8.44)
Stan's feelings, on the other hand, are hard to read—at least until he kisses her. After that it's pretty clear.
