Casablanca Scene 5 Summary

  • A bunch of people, probably bearing varying degrees of guilt, are being led into the Palais de Justice. (We'll translate for you: "Palace of Justice." And it's been a while since we took French.)
  • At a small café outside the Palais de Justice sits an older couple observing the hubbub with interest and curiosity. They're brought up to speed on recent events by another gentleman, who warns them that there are "vultures, vultures everywhere." At which point he lifts the man's wallet. Can't say he didn't warn them.
