Still confused about Outlander, or feeling nervous about exploring the series further? Diana Gabaldon has a comprehensive guide to the first four books in the series. Gabaldon herself has a Master's of Science in Marine Biology and used to write Disney comic books. In other words, she's the coolest author ever. Crafting Scrooge McDuck's dialog must have been excellent practice for the crisp Scottish brogue she writes in Outlander.
