This is probably the most famous song from any Pixar movie (and one of the best) and it sets the ton for this movie nicely. This tune plays over the opening credits as Andy and Woody and playing. These guys are buddies. Chums. Pals. Nothing can change that, right?

WOODY: Oh hi, Buzz. Why don't you say hello to the guys over there…Oh hi, how you doing? You guys won't believe this, but Buzz and I are friends now…You bet! To infinity and beyond! Gimme five!
REX: Hey look, it is Buzz!
SLINKY: I knew you were right all along Woody! I never doubted you for a second.
At this point in the story, Woody and Buzz are most definitely not friends…but Woody knows that pretending that Buzz might actually want to be his buddy is the quickest way to win over the other toys. It doesn't work, but it was a nice try.

WOODY: Go away, you disgusting freaks! All back! Back, you cannibals! He's still alive and you're not getting him, you monsters…Hey, they fixed you? But...but they're cannibals, we saw them eat other toys. Uh, sorry. We thought you're gonna...you know...eat my friend.
This is the first time that Woody actually calls Buzz his friend. Yeah, he might mean it more like "acquaintance" or "Facebook friend" but still Woody isn't willing to let a bunch of toys he thinks are cannibals attack Buzz. This looks like the beginning of a beautiful friendship.
