Toy Story Scene 8 Summary

  • Woody wakes up the next morning in the toy chest and he's a Grumpy Gus. He's obviously never had to spend the night in there like all the other toys.
  • He gets up just in time to see Buzz showing Rex and Slinky that Andy has written his name on the bottom of Buzz's foot.
  • Needless to say, Woody's not amused. Bo Peep tries to reassure him that Andy really does care about him, but Woody loses it when Mr. Potato Head mentions that Woody's next stop might be the attic.
  • Woody's had enough. He marches straight over to Buzz, who's busy fixing his cardboard box space ship, and tells him to stay away from Andy. Buzz doesn't have any idea what Woody's going on about.
  • Woody would also like it if Buzz would quit with the whole space ranger act. It's getting a little annoying.
  • The two toys start fighting and when Woody shoves Buzz, his space helmet pops open.
  • Buzz starts to gasps for air, but then realizes he can breathe and yells at Woody. How dare he open a space ranger's helmet on an uncharted planet?
  • Woody can't believe it. He thought that Buzz might be putting on a big act with this whole space ranger thing, but now Woody realizes that Buzz actually thinks he's the real Buzz Lightyear. The poor dope doesn't realize he's just a toy.
  • Woody has a good laugh while mocking Buzz's cluelessness.
