Character Analysis
When the book opens up, Rayray is just another boy who is a part of Trevor's posse. But as the book progresses, he starts to change his mind about things—even though Trevor continues to make fun of Jesus Boy, Rayray comes to the realization that Jesus Boy is a normal human being… just like them. He also relates to Jesus Boy's feelings of being lost and not belonging anywhere, and ends up not hanging out with Trevor so much anymore. Rayray knows what the right thing to do is.
